Well I didn't go to New Jersey, but the Orange Box didn't arrive this weekend either. It'll be here next week for sure, hopefully Monday. Will you be able to play during the week?

hahah yeah.
When its the new thing on the block... well everyone wants to try or see it right?
Its like that new kid in class, you just wanna find out who she or he is.
or in some cases... in order to see for yourself the new stuff - you whore yourself till the very end.
Think Mmorpgs... when theres a new dungeon.

Yeah, but I don't understand what the heck it is. I get that you grind out certain things to unlock these achievements...you get like badges and whatnot, but new moves? Can you then use these moves against people who aren't doing the achievements on normal servers or whatever? I'm just worried people are going to those servers, doing that lame crap to get new abilities without earning them, and then using them on noobs like me who don't have anything but the base abilities. I guess it doesn't matter, you can still get them without being lame about it, it'll just take longer. PS I didn't even know TF2 *had* abilities. It sure doesn't sound like any FPS I've ever played! Hopefully I get it today and can see what this baby is really like!

haha its not abilities.
Its new unlockable weapons.
These unlockables give you special abilities and some does certain things. However as a new into the game you won't get your butt handed to you because the devs also gave new abilities to the old weapons as well.
Most of all... the unlockables don't give a huge edge over others. Its a plus... the unlockables... but its not like your naruto with the shippuden?
lol i stopped watching it... sorry if i got the analogy wrong.

0.o Why did you stop watching it? Because we're back to fillers at the moment? The fillers aren't as good as the real story, but they are pretty enjoyable usually. At least these recent fillers have been a lot better than the ones of the past. These ones have badass enemies, locations, character progress (Naruto is learning how to use his Wind Element chakra), and good story with twists and mystery and such.
But no Hinata so far. =P

I read somewhere that the 3 activations will "recharge" in time. How much time, I don't know. I don't know if it is true, but if it is, it may be worth it to buy the game for PC if I never get a 360. I hate rewarding a company for using DRM schemes though. They don't even stop piracy, which is the whole reason they are put there! Bah.
Anyway. Guess what Jwei? I loaded up Half-Life 2 yesterday, and found that it had been almost a month since I last played it! I'm still on that Ravenholm level! lol I reeaally don't like that place...proven by the fact that I just suddenly stopped playing for a month when I was really enjoying the game up until that point lol.
It's sad, I know.

Yeah, it is pretty sad that the pirates have a more pleasant experience with the game than people who actually buy it. They don't have to worry about DRM, about having a limited number of activations, about having to connect to the internet to verify the damn thing, or even about having to have a disk in the drive! It's ass backwards.
So yeah, I've been considering pirating it. But based on my tastes, past experiences with Bioware, and the things said about the game, it's pretty much a given that I'll love the game. And then I'd feel uber-guilty. lol I could justify it by saying "that's what they get for putting in this DRM crap!" But I don't blame Bioware for that. I blame EA. So I can't feel justified, because I'd be stealing from not only EA, but Bioware as well - who I really don't think is at fault at all.
LOL, This reminds me of all those moral decisions that Bioware puts in their games... In the KOTOR games, I'd sit there for the longest time sometimes trying to decide what to do! lol Usually I'd make a save file and then go through all the choices, then go back and redo the one I liked best haha. Yeah, it took me forever to get through those games the first couple of times. xD
And I hear Mass Effect is even more dilemma-inducing, that there are even more choices and that most decisions aren't black and white. In the KOTOR series, most of them were. Most of them were obviously Light or Dark side, there weren't as many grey-area choices in KOTOR, although there are significantly more in KOTOR2, if memory serves right.
lol, I sure got off track huh? This moral dilemma of mine reminded me of my favorite game mechanic that Bioware has pioneered: moral decisions that actually affect the game; the characters, events, the story, the player's character, etc. It's really cool!
