It's how I felt about SWGEMU, I felt like an old man reminiscing about the the good old says, knowing perfectly well that it would never be the same. I say no thanks to living in the past I quit WoW too and I don't miss it one bit. CDs are in the garbage, haven't logged on in 4 months and I've never been healthier. Lost 31 pounds so far, started playing bass again, seeing some people, started dating a little, real life is so damn awesome. wow grats man, its good to hear life is going good, although CDs in the trash doesnt mean anything anymore.. theres free DL's on the website now lol. even if you do start playing MMO's again one day in the future, i hope you keep real life far > then the game. as for me, they will probably be around until im out of college : / oh well i think i have found the correct balance of life and game. do you guys remember when we'd log on every day and play for hours and hours? lol, i dont even really remember what we'd occupy our time with in that game. mostly just talking and standing around if i remember

Well, I remember doing a lot of crafting, paying surveyors and hunters to get me the things I needed to make buffs, grinding my Jedi, I even remember having fun doing quests on Kashyyyk.
That's what was good about SWG, they gave you things to do other than level an alt. Not huge amounts but still

BITCH? Why would anyone bitch a bout a game that some many loved, then the devs just ripped everyones heart from our chest and spit on it and stomped ON IT. NOOOOO I DONT KNOW WHY ANYONE WOULD EVER BITCH ABOUT IT.........<GASPS FOR BREATH>

rofl, You guys are so right. We'd NEVER bitch! I don't know what I was thinking! haha ;P Neek is absolutely right, though. I've tried a fair amount of mmo's, and played two extensively. (SWG and WoW, of course) Nothing I've seen offers as much to do as SWG did, and still does. Exploration Hunting Pvp Recently, instances Customization Social system Housing system City government system Decoration system Crafting and "selling" system Space combat Ship customization Bounty hunter system Vast roleplaying opportunities and tools Entertainment system Cantinas etc and so forth Some of that may be redundant, but you get the idea. Anyway, I think bugs and lack of incentive is what killed anyone's desire to actually do those things. Think about it. What can you do in WoW? Well, you can quest and you can instance. And you can pvp. That's about it. Crafting is a joke. There's no cantinas, no housing system, etc. But it does have countless well-crafted quests and instances. And you get handsomely rewarded for doing those things. So people do them. Polish and incentive. Led by the nose and rewarded for it. SWG just kind of puts you out there. "Okay, go at it!" And you have a ton of options, but no direction. So what you notice are the bugs. And then you bitch about the bugs. And then you bitch some more. And before you know it, you're logging on just to bitch. It's kind of therapeutic! lol I think SWG always suffered from trying to do too much. And yet that's exactly what I loved about the game: All the things you could do. *sigh*

i hated that heal glitched at the beginning of the NGE.. i didnt pvp for like 2 months because of that, i would just log on, talk to ppl, and run instances on mustafar for rare items. everytime i get on there now i just get on to see who's around and to look at the stuff in my houses
