lol thats cuz lezaro has a xbox 360. Thats his facts to backup. Brand loyalty FTW. You know I don't understand brand loyalty or as its called on the internets "fanboy(ism)". All systems have good games so just get all the systems like me!  Xbox 360 is my next system then maybe a ps3 next year if they work out all the kinks. |

Well i'll try to answer that. In a word the answer is ownership. We always want to attain the best if not perfect item, object or thing in the world. Everyone wants the best and that means we will try to make sure we do. In that sense, we and myself included, like to voice our post purchase behaviour. This means we would go out of our means to say we have the best and therefore reinforce ourselves and others of our reasoning. Whether this reasoning makes any sense is for another discussion.
I'll give you an example, sports teams is a very competitive topic. Most of the time we like to stick to our local teams or teams that some how relate to our personal reasonings. I'm sure Ehrgeiz your going to cheer for the Buckeyes, and thats obvious, you live in Ohio state. Where I'm sure mobus or anyone else is going to cheer for their local or whatever team. All in all, the teams are just football teams and are all good but its because of brand loyalty.
Another one is Canada versus the United States. Canadians cheer for Canada, United States vice versa. I'm going to leave it like that because someone might hijack my post for writing that.

Because they don't want to spend all that money on something else when they already have one of the new consoles. The thought of getting a Wii wouldn't enter my mind if I had spent the money on a 360 already. |

I understand loyalty to a team/state/country but and I guess its just me but I don't feel that loyalty to something I bought when it comes to games and companies that sell consoles. All of the big 3 have games I want to play and if that means I need all 3 to play them then I'll get my hands on all 3 sooner or later. I got a Wii for the game play and zelda/mario/metroid...I want a 360 for gears or war/halo and I will get a PS3 at some point for final fantasy and god of war 3 if they ever make that one. I guess my loyalty lies with the games and not the systems.....yeah thats it!
