For anyone who is interested in giving this a shot...i read up on what the "best" comm thingie is and so i downloaded roger wilco...if anyone would like to test it out or w/e i will host a channel called RSF everytime i log on starting today...so if you want to try just go here www.download.com/3000-2121-10024393.html and download the software, when you install it will say u can pay 5 bucks or 25 bucks just hit next because its freeware! anyway configure and blahblahblah then when ur done just hit Join channel and you have to type in the host's IP/Channel name so like blahblabalah/RSF...it says the best thing is to turn on RW then log on to SWG then get the IP then ctrl alt del join channel and get rollin...i have no idea if this will be cool or not lol When I host the channel type this in to join: 192.168.1.47:3782/RSF if that doesnt work try without the :3782...nobody go hacking my comp now lol

luc, That is your internal IP address. No one will be able to get to you. You will have to go into your router and set it up to forward all RW traffic coming across the 3782 port to your pc's internal IP address. The only other thing you will need to supply is your real external IP address. That looks to be 70.17.18.211. you will have to verify that, but it is do-able. We have tried this in the past. I am willing to give it another shot if everyone else is. I always wondered what the French Canadian Badass sounds like.....

LOL ;D
That's pretty good Luc. We've been down this road before. We used RogerWilco and TeamSpeak. They both work pretty well, but we didn't get much interest in it. We had a good number of people on a couple of times, but it kinda died off. Also, that IP address you gave is an unroutable subnet (192). More than likely, that's the "internal" IP address of your PC. You probably have a router that uses NAT (Network Address Translation). You'll need to get the IP address of the WAN interface and use it. You'll also need to set up a redirection on the router to send all traffic on the 3782 port to your internal PC address (192.168.1.47). That may sound like a lot of shit to deal with, but give me a shout and I'll help you with it. Actually, now that I've got broadband ( ;D ;D), I can set it up on my end and talk you through it. Seeya!

Yeah, that is an RSF1918 compliant non-routable IP address which will be dropped by routers.
(just needed to add to the technicality of the situation)

Holy God SOMEONE GIVE ME STEP BY STEP DIRECTIONS AUUGHH lol Depends on what kind of router you have really with that IP I'm gonna guess linksys so you log into it (http://192.168.1.1 factory default username is blank i.e empty and password is admin) then find the port forwarding and open the 3782 port, its kinda tough if you don't know how so I would check out your routers website for some support. BTW now that vik has posted your IP that verizon is giving your router I am gonna PING YOU TO DEATH!!! ;D
