O also i am thinking of going totaly Imp on this server. go a totaly different direction this time. But i aint made up my mind.

I have no qualms with that. The character I want to play is just a smuggler-for-hire that works for the highest bidder. He may shoot at ties and stormtroopers from time to time and help out the rebels in other ways because they payed the most, or he likes the way "rebel" sounds, or he just likes "sticking it to the man." But his true loyalties will lie with his wallet, his blaster, his fists, his ship, and his closest friends.

On a roleplay server like Starsider, I could play out that character and work for either side whenever I please without it being a "oh that person who plays that character is such a terrible person, always jumping sides like that! boohoo!" Instead, to roleplayers, it would be "that character is such a scoundrel, he'll work for whoever pays him the most. He must be clever to play the fence like that."

But I can't get over thinking that I would get tired of having to roleplay all the time, because 90% of the players on Starsider are and do. And if you don't, you get to type (OOC) before everything! lol

Oh, btw, I went to deep space on Bria and saw no one. I even finished off two imp fighters that the reb npc's had disabled for crazy xp for my current pilot level. That was fun, but not getting blown up by an imp player wasn't.

I think I'll try deep space on Bria and Starsider tonight, when more people should be on.

Also, I should say that Bria seems to have at least some roleplayers, so maybe I could get my fill of playing in character on that server, without having to do it 100% of the time.

Sounds good to me, but that whole roleplaying thing sounds interresting to. That would be kool to play a hired gun that will kill for money or take on any kind of job. Or even a rogue jedi that isnt sith or jedi. but a force user that has followed his own path into using the force.
Hmmmm. i do like the sound of Rp'ing. I wish they had a nuetral faction instead of just imp and rebel. Like a trade federation, or the hutt's. To bad we can make up our own factions for some real Roleplaying. That would be so awsome. man imagine keeping the rebel and imp faction like it is, and then having a our own faction that can deal with either side depending on money and what your proffesion was. Either a gun for hire, or someone to smuggle someone across systems. Even a jedi that isnt sith but aint part of the jedi union. We could even enter pvp batles and choise which flag to fight under, either rebel or imp, or fight against both. Damn they need to setup something like that.

Well, much of what you said can be done with roleplaying with the game as it is. There are "smuggler alliances," for example, that are mechanically just guilds, but imaginarily a faction of their own that goes under the hired gun principle of "whatever, whenever, why-ever."

The problem is you have to rely on other people playing along, since the game mechanics don't exactly support that kinda thing. =P I mean, you can switch between imp and reb whenever you want to fight in pvp however you want, but that does take some fp juggling. But not mid-fight or anything awesome like that. =/ Poo.

Woot well i went ahead and decided to check out starsider aagain and i got my old name back, Kindreth Kin is back rofl
I made him a spy this time, rofl. going to check out the RP on this server and space. I think it will be kool to be a spy and sell my services to the highest payer, muahahaha
I think if you are going to RP mobus it is better to do it on a server that majority of the population does it on. That way dont have to worry about no bullshit from other players like you said.
Now just to come up with a bio for him on this server. I am thinking of maby a ex-spec ops officer from the old republic forces. That he use to be the best in his feild at gathering intell and doin assassination missions, and then was releaved from command and was set to be exacuted but managed to escape doring the a prison break that happened next to his cell on the first death star, after which he took on a new identity and now uses his skills to make money from the highest paying jobs.

Sounds sweet to me Kin. And grats on getting your name back! One of the worst things about Starsider for me is that I can't use the name Mobus! I am having a hard time coming up with one that I really like and is good for a human. I could probably come up with one for a Bothan spy easier, since I don't have a preset name I like already. We'll see.

I made a character named Nexsyn that looks exactly like the 12190384 other human male characters I've made over the years... Doesn't feel right without the name Mobus, but oh well.

What do you think about Nexsyn? I just gotta have a name that I like and doesn't look or sound stupid! lol

And I always thought Lezaro wasn't pretty cool unless you shortened it to Lez. Then it was really close to Lez. And then I couldn't decide if that made it cooler or not...
