What?! This...that...wow. =D Jwei, I'd hug you if I could. 8) I'm glad there are people out there with enough time (and skill) on their hands to do things like this lol.

I will definitely be playing it as well.  Do you guys know if he touched multiplayer at all? Can we fight with all the new stuff (maps, chars, space!) online? That may be asking a bit much for one person hehe. And I don't have the time right now to read the site and see if that is part of it. But yeah, I can't wait to play it! I love the crap out of the Jedi Knight series, I just get bored with there being no new story/levels to play through. I can only beat the same game so many times! lol I lost count of how many times I've played through JKII... Hmm, is there another Jedi Knight game (official, retail, game) in the works? I know, I'm so full of questions. I have time to ask them but not to look for the answers! How odd! lol  |

yes at the end of the video it shows on-line multiplayer. I will play it.
But i really wish someone would come out with a game where you have to start as a padawan and really go through the jedi acadami, and go through training with a master and have to go through the galaxie doin missions. Or you can choise under the sith and have a master and learn the ways of the sith. and it all be RP online. Basicly take the old SWG but instead of makeing it Rebels against the Empire make it where there is a bunch of different factions. the trade federation, the hutts, Bounty Hunter, so on and so on. And then the sith and jedi. And there be space battles and planets could be under blockaid. or in order to place a Bounty on someone you have to truely get ahold of a certain BH and make a deal with him and give him the target. Smugglers could truely smuggle and be boreded and placed under arrest. and each planet have different rules that have to be followed or you can be fined or arrested. People can not tell what proffesion you are unless you tell them, or even know your name. well i could go on and on but whats the point it will never happen because that is to much work for players now a days. They just want to be given the god mode to every game and not work towards something. Like we use to have to do in the old SWG. That is what i truely miss. O well but i will play this game on my spare time.

wow guys sorry for the delay in replying back.
Like Kin said, it is going to be Multiplayer. The developer said that it is coming out on March 1st 2007. Needless to say i don't think he is ready to release it. I know for sure its so close to being ready. I think he is just fine tuning it and wondering what else he could add. Rumours is that he might be adding new moves to the game. That'll be hard and I dont' think he should do it.
But yeah, it looks awesome and it looks better than some retail games that Lucasarts has released.
On another note did you know that Julio Torres is an absolute idiot? google the xbox game Obi wan and you'll wonder why he got a project like SWG. I can think of a million other people to make games other than him. Total retard.

The trailers alone were a lot of work. Most people don't put that kind of work into pranks, amiright? That isn't even mentioning all the work it took just to be able to play Qui-Gon fighting Darth Maul on Tatooine...just one example. I doubt it is a scam. =) And that ForceMod III looks pretty neat! |

Theres a couple of reasons. The main ones is that this guy has been modding this "mod" since 2003.... or 2001.... nevertheless.... thats a bloody long time. All he has to show is some trailer which can be easily done. Fraps and changing a bit of the files.
The second reason is that most of the skins.... levels and some other stuff are from other modders and skinners who made those long ago. He simply just took them and than puts them into his mod and claims them as credit.
Third reason is that he is requesting donations so that he can finish the mod faster. One of the stories is that he requested this and got around 2-3 grand. The donations page had this number. Than next day the donations were all gone. Of course he erased it and could buy the computer. But if you go back to the website, he is still saying he has the 800mhz p3 computer. Alot of people caught this and voiced out. Lastly the funds thing... if your modding a game thats retail, you can't request donations. You sure can ask, but going back to the credentials... he is taking other people's work. If you played the ForceMod III mod, you'll notice alot of the stuff is actually in the mod apparently this guy is working on. You can't ask for money or even get money in most cases because Jedi Academy is a retail game under license.
Theres some other stuff too, but thats the basic.

lol, It sounds like there is a whole conspiracy theory around this guy and his mod. But those reasons do sound like very good reasons to suspect it to be a fraud! I certainly won't be donating. ;P
