Anyways, I'll just let you know, Julio Torres is probably the person who is responsible for all the stupid episode 1 2 and maybe 3 games that hit. Those rent games. Minus the Lego star wars games. Such as the games that just follow the same plot and direction as the movie. Those games... are all made to play up to the hype. So you got all the little kiddies wanting to play them because they want to be in that "experience." Little did they know, once you beat it, its pretty much a coaster for your drink. Ok lemme give you a few titles.

These are just a few. If you visit the LucasArts website and take a look at there console game section. If you never heard of the game, its more or less Julio Fucking Torres made it.

I want it for the pc, too. Games are just more fun on the pc. You have more control, for one. At least I do. And you have more freedom. Mods are an example. But it doesn't look like that game is coming out for the pc, unless they change their minds later on. I hope they do. Right now there is no plan to.

Edit: It is also possible that they will release it for the pc after they launch it for the consoles. From what I hear, that is what happens with a fair amount of games. The other thing is Windows Vista. I'm not sure how it works, but if what I think is right, maybe they don't want to have to program it for two versions of the pc, XP and Vista. And they'd probably have to do Mac as well. lol

I think I'll just hold out. I'd rather spend that kind of money to upgrade my pc than buy a console. At the very least I'm sure there will be emulators down the road. *shrug* I'm still deciding, but let's just hope it comes out for the pc!!

From what I've seen of the force game its not only a game that is being created but its also a engine and most game engines work across platforms. Anything made for the xbox 360 pretty much works on windows too. Oh well I really want a 360 its just a matter of saving up the money.

Ah, I see. That makes sense considering the 360 is made by Microsoft. I'll have to wait and see what happens later on before I decide what to do (buy a 360 or no). In the meantime, I'd love a Wii! lol They look so fun. But that will have to come after I build a new computer. This one is no longer meeting my needs. She had a good run though!

As for the game for pc, I agree games are more fun on the pc. But unforunately the pirating scene for pc games are on the high. Pretty much any game these days are crackable and than resubmitted to be able to play free. All you have to do is download from reliable sources. Too many gaming studios, unless your an mmorpg one, is losing way too much money from this problem. Hence, you'll notice more games coming out for consoles than pc lately.

Very, very true. I had done some thinking on this before, but for some reason forgot about it now. I would be less puzzled as to why it isn't coming out for pc if I had remembered that. I remember when Oblivion came out. It had only been out a short while, and it was already cracked and up for download on the net. I looked at how many people had downloaded the one I (heh) was downloading. If I remember correctly, it was something like $1 million lost for Bethesda Softworks already, and it had only been out maybe a week!

This is if I remember correctly. That is pretty crazy. And it is still getting downloaded, along with it's expansions.

This pirating underworld (love to call it that) we enjoy so much is backfiring, because it just makes developers question why they should even make a game for the pc, as you said Jwei. But still, I don't regret it, or my participation in it. I mentioned Oblivion. I downloaded that, I did not pay for it. Good thing, too! My computer couldn't handle it!! It was way too choppy and laggy to play comfortably unless I was either in a dungeon or went to 640x480 resolution. Ha! No thanks. And what's worse is that my system meets the recommended requirements! Imagine if I payed $50 for that.

So for that reason and many more, I'll continue flying my skull flag. It's not like they can stop us. They can stop making games for the pc, and we'll still find a way. Emulations ftw, for one! I have 132 N64 games on my pc right now. And they work. And come to think of it, even if I resort to buying a console because it takes a while for people to make emulators to play console games on my pc, I can still download the console games! In the end, only the console-makers benefit from game companies not making their games for the pc.

I don't blame the game developers who leave the pc gamers out, but all it really makes me want to do is try even harder to break even more rules and get that crap running on my computer. Or at the very least, running on a console I bought without ever buying the game itself. heh

Eh, sorry for the rant. I just really want to play all the good Star Wars games without buying a console just for that. *sigh* And just so you guys know, I don't pirate all my games. The mmo's I can't, obviously, and the only game that I have beaten (ie, played long enough to make it worth $50) that is pirated is JK2, which a friend copied for me from his disk a long time ago.
