Yeah, if exactly what mobus said. Pick a timeline when jedi's were everywhere or when there was about no jedi's or not.
I still think swg should have jedi's as only npc's/ quest chars but not playable.
As for missing RSF. I'm glad to read about that. There was alot of blood, sweat and tears that went into the development of this guild. I'm glad there was capable members that could carry on our doctrine. When I stepped down of course.

Mm, I've found some interesting reads! I highly, highly suggest you all read these. They are long, but well worth it. First: www.mmognation.com/2007/05/01/its-about-that-time-again/Then the 2nd part: www.mmognation.com/2007/05/02/sideline-designing-for-star-wars-galaxies/You won't be disappointed. There is a special surprise in there, too, about another Star Wars MMO. I won't tell you which article or give you any more info than I already have, because I want you bums to read both of them in their entirety! /grin Seriously, unlike my own ramblings, I think his are worth the read. PS Type "SWG" in the search box for some more articles, very recent ones (within days of today says he didnt like 32 professions because there were non-combat ones and melee professions other then jedi... kind of rediculous for him to say that if you ask me then he said the NGE was more starwarsy then pre nge... umm... i dont think it is. Especially with that joke they call the legacy quest, its a pathetic quest series, truely pathetic. Legacy Quest1. Talk to guy GO KILL THIS EVIL MAN!!!! 2. Go to the guy ARGHHH IM SO WEAK YOU'D HAVE TO BE A RETARD IN ORDER TO NOT KNOW HOW TO KILL ME!! 3. Return to quest giver GREAT JOB!! 4. Talk to guy GO TALK TO THIS GUY!!!! 5. Drive out to the guy BAH!!! IVE LOST MY RADIO!!! CAN YOU HELP ME FIND IT?! 6. /target radio 7. Run to the radio which is 20m away 8. Pick it up and talk to him GRRRRREAT JOB KID YOU SAVED THE DAY 9. Return to quest giver.. 10. Repeat 500 times and you get a title and a couple badges WOOOT IM TRUELY PATHETICALLY AWESOME

I understand where you're coming from all too well Lez. I don't agree with everything that guy says, but it is a different and well thought out perspective. He makes some very good points. But as you've pointed out, he has some flaws as well. I've not done the legacy quest beyond lvl 15. I can't STAND it now. But I did like it the first time I did it, because it was a huge step in the right direction. Still, it feels like a weak attempt at copying the quality of some other game's quest arcs. As for Star Warsy...I am starting to hate that phrase! lol Just what does it mean? It means different things to different people. It just isn't possible to make a game that feels "Star Warsy" to everyone. Most people agree though, Star Wars Galaxies is not the game that feels that way for them. It always had its "Star Warsy" moments for me, and sometimes still does, but not like Jedi Knight II, KOTOR1 & 2, and some other very well done games. The people in charge of SWG realized this, I suppose, and tried to make it more like those games...they added the quests, finally, but did a bad job on almost all of them. Like you said, they are usually so dry and boring, and too easy. Although sometimes the story behind them is pretty interesting, the action isn't up to par. When he said that about the melee professions, I felt the same way. Just because it wasn't in the movies doesn't mean it isn't a part of Star Wars. Take a vote on the favorite precu professions and I guarantee TKA would be in the top 5. That guy contradicts himself in that he greatly anticipates the rumored KOTOR-timeline MMO by Bioware, but doesn't think melee professions like pikeman should be in SWG. Well, erm, by that logic, nothing of KOTOR was even mentioned in the movies, so why should that timeline be in -any- games? So yeah, not everything he says is even stomachable, but there are some good points and exciting ideas in there. His points on what made precu bad were mostly true (although they could have been fixed easily enough without need of an NGE...). And depending on what time during precu you choose to compare with the NGE, the NGE kicks precu's butt. There was a while during precu where there was NO player transportation. No mounts, no vehicles. There was no SPACE, let alone player ships and space combat. Wow, I still can't believe they launched without that. Just those three alone, and there are many more, make that old-time precu a joke compared to any timeline of the NGE. But take the precu in its prime and compare that to the NGE and suddenly the NGE doesn't look as good. lol What I like most are his ideas for SWG (as it is now) in the second link. He has ideas to make the NGE better. It isn't going away, the best thing to do is not play it or try to make it better. I hope the devs end up reading that blog page, because some of those ideas are really good. But most of them have actually been said on the boards time and time again, come to think of it. Now all the devs need to do is listen to the good ideas and stop putting in their own bad ones. =P I think every single good thing that has ever happened to the game originated from some player posting his idea on the forum. I could name so many. Almost every single bad thing put into the game was something none of the players ever asked for, unless it was an unnecessary nerf. 'Cause people love asking for those. I still can't believe so much can be said about that game. Could we possibly talk this much about WoW? lol Welcome will be the day when we can talk about another Star Wars mmo. I hope those Bioware rumors are true. But unfortunately I find them hard to believe. It definitely sounds too good to be true. If they bring the same dedication, quality, intense story, and attention to detail to a MMO as they brought to the single player KOTOR, we're in for one hot ride fellas! I so hope it happens. www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=162675

I don't know about the xbox version(s), but the pc versions of KOTOR 1 and 2 are both really good. You'll be hoping Bioware is really making a SW mmorpg.

The rumors say there is another, and it is a Star Wars one. Whether or not that is true we don't know, that's why it is a rumor lol. It seems unlikely, and I'm inclined to believe it isn't true. But I'm also inclined to really, really hope it is true!
LA did say something about keeping the SW mmo franchise with SOE, but that just may mean they aren't packing up with SWG... although it most likely meant SOE will be making any future SW mmo's. Anyway, this is one of those rare rumors that I actually like to spread around, hoping dearly that it is not a lie by that stupid magazine. (I hate gaming magazines btw lol)
Oh and I have to make 135k exactly with the current economy to even begin incubating a pet. The money from the legacy quests is adding up, but it still may be a while. =/ I don't want to play *that* much. heh But I may *need* to play a lot to get poodoo done in those 14 days.

One big beta lol. By the way, I almost went insane today doing the legacy quest... You described the process well Lezaro! lol Although there are some original moments. The swoop race bit was neat, but not fun because of the lag I was having. The game would probably be a lot more fun if it didn't lag so bad. Newer games with better graphics, more polish, more content, better combat, etc etc. run smoother on my pc. We know why SWG is so laggy. One is poor code, I'm sure, but mostly it is because of things like every character being different in a thousand ways. In most mmo's, you choose from maybe 5 face models per race and sex. In SWG, each person is different. Harder on the pc. Just one example. But looking different than anyone else doesn't make the game fun when it is laggy and misses all those other things! lol
As for beast master, I am finally in the process of incubating a pet. I think it'll be done in three days. There are 23 hours left on this stage, and you need 3 stages.
