Wellsers, I won't be playing this game at launch, most likely. It is missing something(s) vital that makes one want to log on everyday. That, to me, is important for a mmo because you are paying monthly. Maybe someday it'll be up to par though!

As for what I -have- been doing for mmo adventure...I have an EVE 14 day free trial going and have been enjoying it. We tried it a long time ago if you remember, Jwei, and didn't like it. This time around I am enjoying it though, despite those things I couldn't get over before. (No ship interiors, and you never ever leave space) But the game has more depth and complexity than any I have ever played before. I am actually catching on this time too. Before the learning curve was too much of a deterrent, but this time I put up with it and am actually catching on pretty quickly.

So yeah, that's what I'm up to with mmo's if any of you are curious. If you want to join me, I'd love to have a wingman/men. I'm not sure if I'm going to subscribe to EVE or not, but the free trial should give me hours of entertainment at the very least. Also, I have LOTRO reinstalled finally, and plan to poke around Middle Earth some too.

The thing that sucks is that I'm all alone in both games! lol So feel free to join me! ;D

The coolest thing about EVE is probably seeing there are over 35,000 people on the server when you go to log in. That's how many were on this Sunday noontime. It's a huge game (Universe), though, so it isn't crowded or anything. Just vibrant!

I did the LOTRO and didnt like it at all. EVE been around to long to compete with the others for me. Im waiting on WAR if that doesnt keep me then maybe MMO's i might have to give up. CoH isnt doing it for me any more either. Maybe im getting old and other things are starting to become more important who know. Maybe to many heinekens

Actually i just realized before i say this i been drinking. Thats no excuse, but i have been spoiled. SWG the old version was so much fun and I cant ever not say " Man i miss playing SWG" that these games now a days just are not making the cut. the crafting, the player cities, the market was on point, The list goes on cantinas was fun to chill in, going to mobuses house and losing my money on chance cubes. the games of today just are not a world i can escape to. Now i just level and thats the end of it. I wasnt worried about who had the best gear. I was able to one shot a jedi with my smuggler if i needed to, or was lucky to land that wonderful move that they had back then. but sorry to bring that out but i miss running with yall and i cnat find a game to keep me happy. so TEAM FORTRESS 2 here i come = )

That's the exact same problem I am having with MMO's. It may be time for me to give up on them as well. Nothing compares to those golden days in SWG.

I looked it up and it looks pretty sweet! I just got a Wii, so my money will be going towards that first, but I definitely want to get TF2 soon. I'll buy that orange box deal thingy and have at it. Perhaps by next weekend I'll join you fellers. Next Friday is pay day. 8)
