I'm playing the swgemu kind of...I login and talk, but not really doing much else till it's done.

So don't you show up.
Don't head to Theed and get skills and gear from the gungan trader/characterbuilders.
And if you have a 8800 card when you're not loging in and crashing don't set your shader model to 1.4 under game options in the EMU launcher.

I logged in for the first time yesterday and like Negilum said, there's not much to do except stand at the cantina and dance. It's mostly just nostalgia at the moment and some PvP from what I understand. You can get pretty much any profession and any item from the bartender so there is no "grinding", you just talk to him and become a master whatever.

Yesterday, I was just entertaining myself by inspecting a lot of the items I used to make, like buff packs and stuff but other than that, it's pretty much a glorified chatroom with some potential to give us back the SWG we loved.

I *just* figured out how to start using A S D W to move my char again. I remembered an option that I needed to turn off, something that assumes that when you touch the keyboard, it's because you want to chat. Finally found it in Interface / Key bindings. Now I can move around without looking like I'm drunk

I don't really see myself spend a lot of time in there because there's not a whole lot to do, but I'm very impressed at the progress they've made. There seems to be quite a lot of players too, when I created "neek" again yesterday, there were 4 people in the new char area so there's a lot of interest to this project. Maybe it will attract more developpers

Yeah, it's fun to hop on and mess around a bit, but I'm not going to invest a lot of time in it quite yet. I was going to do weaponsmith on Wooch so that I could make whatever I want, but with you being able to get most anything from the traders, I figure it's not worth it.
Still, I'd like to go big game hunting, if there's any big game to hunt...
