I've only played 1.6 hours of video games in the last 2 weeks, that's gotta be some kind of record.

I've done that during college semesters. I've gone quite a while without playing any games during school. *sigh*
But not during a break. I played only ~30 minutes of video games the past 2 weeks, but I was on vacation. lol Every time I think I've moved past video games, I realize it's just because I've been too busy!

Yeah I think I just realized that as well lol. Starcraft 2 just came out and all my friends have been buying it so we've been having LAN parties quite a bit.
Do you mind if I ask what you are going to college to become?
I'm attending Portland Community College at the moment and plan on transferring to Oregon State University to get my Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering.

So you're a MechE, huh? I'm going for Electrical Engineering. You guys like to steal our knowledge and use it to build fancy-pantsy robots with a bazillion degrees of freedom. lol, I kid. I love you guys! MechE would be my second choice easily. I think it'd be badass to call myself a "Mechie." But I do of course have better reasons than that for loving that field. I actually thought of double majoring EE/Mech for a while, but I think it may be wiser not to spread myself too thin. I'm not one of those people with unholy time management skills. Anyway, I'm going to Youngstown State University in Ohio. I live in Pennsylvania but the drive is only ~30 minutes. And I went to community college first, as well. You save a lot of money that way! Also...have you taken Thermodynamics yet? If not, good luck!!!! I hear it's the "weed out" class for Mechies and all around hellish.

Lol I'm glad to know I've been talking to another engineer for all of these years. Mechies > Electries
No I haven't taken Thermodynamics yet, but I think I can handle it. I already built a machine for a company as part of an internship so my dedication to the field is pretty large. Plus I've made quite a few buddies so I'll have some ppls to study with once I'm in there.
Are you going into your senior year now?

lol, This guy thinks Mechies > Double-E's. Someone's been feeding him the kool-aid! haha No, I'm only in my Sophomore year. I'm 22, but I took a lot of "breaks" either moving, traveling, or deciding what exactly I wanted to do with myself. It didn't bother me then, but now I regret losing all that time. Eventually you realize that every day counts. But, I'm settled, decided, and focused now. And it is good that I took my time to decide what I really wanted before investing in something I would change my mind on. ... Somewhere Neg is reading this and laughing his ass off. I was always switching professions in SWG before I would master them and I think it drove him crazy! lol Not that I have switched majors, but I was definitely changing my mind a lot about what I wanted to do before I went full-time. That's a large part of the reason why I didn't hit college hard until so late. But after you really get in there with the material, students, and professors of a field you quickly realize whether or not you are in the right place. I'm sure you know what I mean, although you may have had that experience from your internship. But there's a time when you go "This is for me" and you don't look back. After taking Engineering Concepts and Engineering Drawing, I was hooked. Mechanical Engineers taught both of those classes, which may be why I have such a soft spot for that field. lol, I would have never thought I'd see someone get as excited about ordinary screws as Professor Wallace did!! I think I could be happy as a Mechie, but EE is where my aptitude and greater interests are. <3

You're right. You know, the phrase "hang out" comes from the time when they still hung people. When people were bored, they'd go out to watch a hanging. This became hanging out. And I know this is true because the internet said so. lol, I'm not sure if it's better or worse than what I thought the phrase came from. I thought "hang out" came from letting your junk "hang out," which you usually only do if you're relaxing. So I thought it came to mean "let's relax together" that way. Only without the actual hanging out of man junk. Aaand this is what I end up doing when I don't want to study! *sigh*
