Hmm, I'm kinda wondering about advancing skills / dropping skills / how it affects your combat level, as I'm beginning to run out of skill points lol. Heres the thing: I completed Master Marksman or w/e, and began on Rifles, I also got my Master Medic and began combat Med, but I have a couple of skill points tied up in other things. As my Rifleman/Combat Med go up, I'm going to run out of skill points, so my questions are: Besides dropping Nov skills I don't use (Brawler, etc), if I did something like drop the previous marksman skills, will it prevent me from continuing my Rifle training? Also, if I drop other skills, will my combat level go back down? If so, how do people reach level 80 when you can only acquire so many skills? Lol. I noticed even when I advanced med skills my combat level would sometimes raise, so whats the dealio? Meh, hate to bug y'all with my nubness, but its the only way I can figure this out hah. Been looking on stratics or w/e, but no luck. Thx~

Net, You are correct when you say dropping skills will lower your combat level. I thing is the base professions do not give you that big of a jump combat level wise. I am pretty sure that the combat level goes off of your skills (ablities to preform new combat actions) now. (correct me if I a wrong here guys). The more boxes you get in elite professions the closer to level 80 you will become.
You will not be able to master Medic if you are going to master CM and rifleman. Correct me if I am wrong, but if you went strictly Master CM / Rifleman you will have 38 skill points free. Meaning, Only taking the needed Basic Profession trees for your elite skills. If you sink the 38 point in medic you can get 4/4/3/4 medic with your master elites. (The 38 points comes if you drop the carbine tree in Marksman and only have 0/4/0/0 in medic)
However, You can keep your master marksman and just loose your skills in medic. That would give you 3 master titles.
Well, I was tring not to ramble on, but I am pretty sure I failed in that aspect. I hope this helped. A little.

you've got it hit on the head vik...once you get 2 elite combat profs you will hit the level 80 combat level. So once you master rifleman/CM if you so choose you should have a level of 80. But to be sure to hit your goals of rifle/cm just take the required lines in skills needed for those 2 profs, then come back and take other skills you think you would like until you run out of SP's.
also Net don't worry bout asking questions on these boards, it's not like the SWG forums where you get flames, whining, and complaining instead of an answer ;D
Unless you ask Mobus <eoro hug mobus>
