Yeah.. Anjon.. that's right. I only had one encounter with him which ended up with me inside my house after /chickenshit away. He was bugged and couldn't get his swoop out. But yeah, what an awesome fight that was. I was pumped and shaking while watching them. Part of which because it was a good fight, part of which because I was angry that a vet jedi with close to perfect tunes would need 30 minutes and a holocron to standup against a CM, someone who probably did a /respect to CM to start with. I give Anjon credit for being excellent at what he did and respecting everyone of his victims but that was a big "omg, Jedi really isn't good anymore" for me.
I still miss those fights. The Phenix fight against that BH in FO was great also. That BH kept popping druids, an ATST and even the kitchen sink but he didn't outlast Phenix. That was awesome.

Rofl, "that bh kept popping druids" =P
But yeah, I agree with you about CM. BH/CM + some nice armor and a gun was a great match for a Jedi, at least in pvp. The thing is, most jedi were saber/defender, and CM was the anti-defender profession. Bounty hunters specialized greatly for killing Jedi. Jedi could do the same to kill bh's, or at least survive them. The only problem is that a Jedi had to choose between pve greatness or pvp greatness in order to do that. A BH did not. My build was the bh focused one. I was still great in pve, though. I just couldn't tank at all, which was one of the shining features of Jedi, and one of the things that made them look and feel like Jedi. Now they are making BH's the tanks it seems, because they are the only profession I know of that have moves specifically for pulling aggro.
You also have to remember that Neg was rusty, and making mistakes. Anjon was polished and playing all his cards right. He had the preparation, element of surprise and fluidity of play to kill most Jedi. He would have killed you or me, but Kendall with his nice saber and "oh shit" button (holocron) was able to beat him despite all the elements stacked against him. Then again, just being a Jedi should be one huge element that gives you the advantage against any bh.
The reason a Jedi was not superior to other professions at that time is because they were only supposed to be 1.5x stronger than a normal spec. Since CM was overpowered, it was a much closer match.
Now Jedi are supposed to be the same as everyone else when it comes to power. They are not, because many of the professions are terrible right now. Only BH and Jedi will be feared in pvp for a while, as they will be the only ones with expertise (talents). I hate the way combat is right now, but with the next patch it feels so very much better. That may only be because I was dueling Negilum without a robe on (no armor protection) and with a gen 1 saber, but I figure that the 2x more damage a gen 4 does is mitigated by the 6.5k armor of an elder robe (50% reduction), so it would be like we were using a gen 4 and elder robe. Gen 1 dps = 500 I think, and gen 4 = 1000. So I think I am right, but can't really be sure. If that is the case, the next patch should make combat a lot more fun and "epic" feeling, like it once was, because not only will fights (at least 1v1) last longer, but they should be more fun and take more strategy as well. This is coming from only one duel and some running around on Dathomir, so take it with a grain of salt. =P
I suggest you make a trial account and get on TC if you would like to test out the changes. You may not have much time left, but if you are interested it is worth a try. You also have to give it some time, because I didn't think it was much until I began to understand the expertise system better.
If you do this, tell me when you are on or plan to be on and I will try to get on and help you. The blue frogs have baggage from past patches and can be confusing. This goes to anyone who is not currently playing SWG and wants to sneak on TC, or anyone who hasn't been on TC yet and doesn't know wtf to do.

Rofl, "that bh kept popping druids" =P . Haha.. I ment droids. I always get mixed up with druids and droids. Thanks for the offer Mobus, I might do that sometimes. I probably have stuff in my house some of you guys could use and a few millions I still had from back in the days when buffing was sweet. I don't know if 'neek' has been purged from the server though. I just logged on and my station name is still there and I still see my account info so maybe it's still there, I don't know. I would have to get bored with WoW first though because there's no way my nevous system could handle 2 games. My stress would reach new heights! I do miss a few people and yeah, I still do miss my lightsaber.

I get the two words mixed up sometimes also. I still sometimes say "droid" mentally when I read "druid" in WoW. And as for playing two games at once...I don't know what I was thinking, but I think my solution of barely playing either one will work out pretty well lol.
