Hi Everyone.
With the recent explosion of Jedi's in the guild and around, we see more and more group hunts around FO. I have also noticed that a couple of other guilds have adopted our Fort Ottinni as favorite place to come get hunting missions. This is great because the broken bottle is very occupied and we see more and more entertainers in there. We also get to hunt with new people which is nice also.
With that though, it made it more difficult to differentiate someone comming to join the group, versus a BH comming to execute a mission. Before, if the person wasn't in RSF, we all knew the person was a BH but now, it's more difficult.
Yesterday, two people approched the hunt group I was in (with Kindreth, luciotti, vikrant and veeto). One was an RSF member and the other who arrived at the same time was from another guild. Was it a friend of someone joining in or was it a BH, there was no way for me (us) to know. Turned he was a BH with Kindreth's mission.
We all know that visibility is innevitable. Regardless of how careful we are, it's just a matter of time before everyone gets on the terms at least once. I know I've gained a little vis from switching weapons close to someone, from a tusken spaning right next to me in a fight and from people swooping through the group and giving vis to everyone.
I think there are a few things we can do to reduce the preventable visibility by following a few guidelines.
First, when inviting someone in a group, making sure they know to stop 50m away from the group will save everyone from getting visibility.
Second, letting everyone know in the group that someone is comming (with the name) will allow everyone to know to be on alert and to expect someone. When I saw Jay-Z yestarday, I never tough for a second that he was a BH, I tough he was a new guy comming to join the group.
There's nothing we can do to completely eliminate vis, but I think that since we are hunting for a lot of new people we don't know, we need to be a tad more carefull.
I don't know if anyone else has ideas on this, or doesn't agree with this but it's just a couple ideas I had on my way to work this morning.
