Hunt for the City

Hi Everyone.

We talked about it during the last guild meeting, but it hasn't happened yet so I tough I'd get this thing started.

Someone came across a great idea to help finance the city. Basically, since a lot of people are group hunting aroung FO, we could do what we do all the time, except donate the money to the city. Basically, returning to Fort Ootinni what we earned in money that evening by hunting.

I propose the first (of hopefully many) "Hunt for the City" event to happen this Tuesday, August 16th.

Those who can afford it can write down the amount earned doing missions that evening and simply donate the same amount to Baile as funds to help pay for city maintenance. It's 100% voluntary, so if you can't give all of it away, no problem there and those who can and are interested in giving more are also welcome.

We usually do 20-30 missions per evening on weekdays, times 9k each on average, times 6-8 players can addup very fast. 20 missions at 9k each times 6 players adds up to a million. 30 missions at 8 players will double that so in very little time, we can generate enough funds to run the city for a month.

So, who would be interested in participating?

Whatever groups you want go get together is fine. The only point is to earn some cash for the city.

Today, we can have spin groups also, but I fighred to leave time for everyone to read the message, that we could officially do it on tuesday. If you want to make a donation today also, i'm sure Baile would appreciate.

The problem with me is that I don't have a "spin attack"

Then you just hit what you can... Just armorbreak a few of them to make them drop faster and voila! The purpose of spinning is to hit them all at least once, and 2, it goes a lot faster but people get killed a lot so there's a risk to that. It's most often the person doing the highest damage that gets hit the most. What I did was hit the lair and spin with my best saber, avoid incap twice and to as much damage as possible, then switch to a weaker saber, lose aggro and go regenerate force while people finished them off.

If there is a lot of people, nothing prevents us from running 2 groups also. A spin group and a more old school group.

The whole idea was that if people are hunting on Tuesday and are interested in donating their earnings, they are welcome to.

Here's what I would recommend :

At the end of the day Tuesday, Banktip me 95% of the earnings you made (or which ever proportion you would like to donate, 95% is to cover for banktip costs) and I will make 1 big donation to Baile directly on everyone's behalf. I can even post on the boards the total earnings and put the names of the people who participated and donated.
