THE BATTLE THAT LIES WITHIN.
The life of Kindreth Kin.
It was a normal day for Kindreth kin; he was up and out of his bed before any of the younglings. Kin was a very energetic kid, and very strong with the force. He had unique and strong tie with the force. Kin was always smiling and laughing. He never once had a cross word to anyone. During his trainings he would always push himself to better himself, but he never would try to out do anyone else. He would always try to help the other students if they were having problems.
After getting his things ready for the day Kin still had time before his first lesson for the day. This was always his favorite, mainly because it was the one that Master Yoda guided them through. Well Kin thought he would go to class early and study up on some of the aspects of the galaxy that they were learning in class. When Kin entered the class Master Yoda was already there.
“Good Morning Master Yoda” Greeted Kin.
“Early you are again, I see youngling. News I have for you, I have. Here you have exceeded your training. We the council meet with u we will. No class for u today. Send for you we will when ready.” Master Yoda replies.
Kin couldn’t believe what he was hearing, but he did his best not to show too much excitement and just show his respect. Kin then turned to Master Yoda and bowed and replied “Yes Master Yoda”.
After what seemed like forever, which Kin tried his best to meditate to pass the time, but was only a short time, Master Yoda called for him on his vid link in his room. Kin clamed himself to the best of his ability while on his way to the council chamber. As he stood in front of the chamber door he took one last breath with his eyes closed to make sure he was as clam as he could be. When the chamber door opened Kin kind of just stood there for a second and looked around the room. All of the council was there, except for one.
Master Yoda looked at Kin and said “Come, stand before us u will.”
Kin slowly and with as much grace as he could muster, walked to the center of the room and stood facing Master Yoda. Kin then bowed with respect to Master Yoda and the rest of the council.
“We have called you here to see if maybe you are ready for the title of padiwan, youngling.” Said Master Windu.
“Test we have for you, first” Master Yoda says. “Ready we will see if you truly are”
“Yes master Yoda” responded Kin.
A couple of hours later, Kin left the council and went to the council waiting area. The council said they were going to go over the test and decide weather or not Kin was ready. Kin was a little nervous. Only a few younglings have ever been accepted as a padiwan at this early of an age. Kin only being of the age 7. A short time later the council called kin back into the chamber. This time when Kin entered the room there was another person standing in the middle of the room. Kin walked up and stood beside this person.
“Kindreth, agree the council does on making you a padiwan. Master Gull will be your master. Train you he will. Learn from him a lot you can.” Said Master Yoda.
(4 years later)
“Master, incoming message for you.” Called Kindreth, on the com link in the ship.
“Patch it through Kin” stated Master Gull.
“Yes Master” replied kin.
“Master Gull, the council needs you to head out to the outer rim and do some recon. Try and find out where some of the bases the federation might be. Also see if you can something about this Sith that have showed them selves. It is strange that after all this time that now is the time they show up. Be careful, and may the force be with you.” End of message…(Beep)
“Captain set course for the outer rim, head to Rattatak, also try to avoid being detected by anyone.” Commanded, Gull.
Kin noticing that they had changed course headed to Master Gull chambers.
“Master, where are we headed to now?” Asked Kin
“We are headed to Rattatak, there were reports that Dooku was spotted there. We need to find out what he is doing out there.” Replied Gull.
After months of searching the outer rim for bases and Intel on the sith, Gull got message that was a little over 4 days old. They had been in a area where they could not receive a message dew to hi neutron radiation interference. It was from they Jedi academy. It read “Do not return to the academy, the clone troopers have turned on the Jedi. No count on how many left. Do not try to contact. Find refuge.” …End message!
“Captain I need you to get me a list of systems in our area. Kin, we have to go into hiding for a while. It appears something has happen. We will find out more in time”
“Yes Master” Replied Kin with a look of confusion on his face.”
“Captain head to the Auril sector of the Outer Rim, in the Bak'rofsen system. Find a remote spot on Bal'demnic to land. Avoid all contact.” Gull Commanded. “Kin we will stay in hiding here for a while, and here we will train you more, as will I train too.”
“Yes Master” Replied Kin.
“Captain we will take the shuttle to the surface, I need you to return to Coruscant, and find out what’s going on, I will meet u at these coordinates 12 days from now. If you do not show up I will take that as bad and find a different planet to go to.” Gull instructed.
“yes sir, Master Gull.” The captain replied.
(2 days later, after landing on Bal'demnic)
“Master gull, I have something I need to ask. I have no memory of where I came from. When I was in the temple training I always heard the other younglings taking about there old worlds and where they came from. Do you know which world I came from to join the academy?” Kin asked.
“I am sorry kin, I do not. I read your records when I agreed to take you as my padiwan, but there was no mention of it in your records. A Master Jedi Jin found you on a freighter that was damaged by a attack, you and only one other survived the attack. The pilot of the freighter was the other. All records of passengers were destroyed in the attack. So it is unknown where you came from. I am sorry” Gull replied.
“No need to apologize Master. I had just hoped maybe u know.” Kin said.
Five days later while meditating Kin had a vision of a beam of light destroying a whole world. He had asked his master was this something that had happen or something that would happen. His master replied that to each person the force shows different things. This is because the force shows things to each person that has something to do with that person, some visions are directly licked to that one person, because that vision may have something personal to do with that person.
As the time passed Master Gull and kin trained and meditated. Gull was trying to see if he could sense something in the force that could explain what had happen back at the Jedi temple. But every time something seemed to be blocking him. So he decided he would stop incase what ever it was might sense him and then they would find them with the sith were involved.
On the 12th day Gull took off to the coordinates where they were supposed to meet up. But the captain never showed up. So gull hurried back to Bal'demnic. He told Kin that they didn’t show up so it was time for them to go, to be on the safe side. As they were taking off, Kin spotted incoming on the radar. Gull took off as fast as he could trying to get off of orbit to jump to hyperspace. With the incoming ties and the thought that there was a star destroyer in orbit made it real hard. But they managed to do it.
This is how it was for the next 3 months. Gull and Kin would find a planet and try to hide, but somehow the empire would find them. Till that one last time.
They had found a place to hide on Nar’Shadar. Living in the shadows, they were there for a little over 6 days when Gull went to go purchase some supplies. Kin was back in the room meditating, when he had a vision of a dark man striking down his master. Kin jumped up and ran as fast as he could to the market to find his master. Kin was coming around the corner when he heard saber strikes. As he turned the corner he saw Gull dueling with a tall figure. The figure was wearing a black helmet and had a black cape on. He could sense nothing but the darkside. He know his master was in trouble. Kin wanted to jump right in the middle of it and help his master, but something stopped him, he could not move. The next thing kin know was that Gull was laying on the ground and the dark lord was standing there over kin’s master. Kin had to do something. But what? What could he do? Then a voice in his head told him to get out of there, RUN! And that is what kin did.
While trying to stay out of sight Kin found a freighter that was fixing to leave, so kin hid on board. Not knowing where it was going or really even caring, kin just know he had to get out of there, or else he would end up dead too.
After years of traveling and hiding in the shadows, kin ended up on Kashyyyk. Kashyyyk is a lush jungle planet where treetops serve as homes for the native Wookiees, a towering fur-covered species known to be ferocious warriors. The planet serves as a navigation gateway for the entire southwest quadrant of the galaxy. He had hoped to be able to lose himself in the dark underground of this planet. This isn’t hard to do. After a few months on the planet Kin had found a remote spot where he could hide. It was in a spot the wookies called the shadow lands on the Ryaat trail. While out hunting for food one day. Kin sensed a dark presence, but it was not the same presence he felt back on Nar’Shadar. It was more of a twisted dark presence. Then out of no where this dark figure came out and knocked Kin out cold. Kin woke a couple hours later with his head pounding like a war drum.
“I sense much anger and fear in. Fear for a dark figure from your past I sense. And anger for something that this dark figure did to you, or to someone you know.” Stated a voice from the shadows of the corner of the room.” A Jedi I see you are, or maybe trying to be?”
“I was till…wait who are you, and why did u attack me?” kin asked.
“I can help. Help you finish your training. Help your grow more powerful then the one you fear.” The voice said.
“How can you help me? You don’t know the ways of the force, the training of a Jedi!” Kin Snapped.
“O but I do and I can help you finish your training and also train you in ways of power you never know. I sense a lot of force in you. Indeed you are strong with the force. Allow me to train in a different aspect of the force, one that the Jedi refuse to train. You will gain so much power and will be able to strike down those who seek you out.”
Kin was full of all kinds of mixed feelings. Hate towards the one who killed his master. Fear for that one day it night happen to him and that there is no more Jedi to go to. Then there it was, out of no where, deep inside, Kin’s lust for more power. To have the power to be able to defeat the one who killed his master. Who else would he turn too, their was no one left.
“Let me be your new master and I will make you more powerful then you can ever imagine?”
Kin hesitated for a few minutes, but then feel to one knee and agreed.
For the next 4 years Kin stayed in the depths of that forest, learning everything that his new master could teach him. Kin had learned more power in those four years then he had learned the whole time while with the Jedi. But Kin had changed too. He was no longer that happy little kid that ran around the Jedi Temple. Kin was full of anger now, full of hate. He had only one quest in mind, to kill that dark figure!!! Kin had learned so much that he now over powered his master. During one of the training lessens kin struck his master down. Kin then proceeded to train himself. He found some old scrolls that talk about the sith and the sith temples. Kin decided that he was going to seek out some of these temples and learn all he could.
So kin took off for Yavin 4, to find the sith temple called Massassi. It is where Exur Kun trained the sith many ages ago. Kin had hoped maybe he might find some of the old teachings there, but when he got there the temple was in ruins, and it had been ran sacked by scavengers. As Kin was heading back into the forest and up a old grown up path he cam across a old hidden cave opening. Kin ventured inside. While searching the caves Kin came across a hidden old stone door. It took kin a couple of hours to get it to open, but he finally got it. And inside was a whole room full of old relics, and a tomb. Uncertain which tomb this was, kin starting looking for anything he could find to help him train. He found a box full of old scrolls. Kin took them out very easy as to not hurt them, because they were so old. Kin spent the next year down in that cave studying those scrolls and anything else he could find. Kin had found some of the old Sith teachings, but they were not all just about giving into your hate, but how to manipulate things and people around you. Also how to hide the fact that you even exist, but how to feel and draw on the dark side of the force. How it can keep you alive even in death.
After spending 2 years down in those caves studying kin learned all he believed he could learn. The rest of his lessons will come in time. But for now Darth Kindreth had a new goal. Not to kill that dark lord, but to make him his servant. Little did kin know that the dark lord already had a master.
Kin finally caught up with this dark lord on a planet called Talus. Darth Vader was out making sure that a small Rebel outpost was taken care of. Darth Vader was walking behind a group of troops through one of the open fields of the planet over seeing the operation. Kin was using his force to cloak him as to not be detected by the troopers. When the troopers finally got past him and Vader was just insight Kin sprung out of his cloak and stood in front of the Dark Lord that had killed his old Jedi master. This was the farthest thing from his mind at that point and time.
Darth Vader ignited his lightsaber and so did Kin. They fought hard for a little while. Then kin turned and said “I sense a lot of hatred in you.” Darth then replied “You are no Jedi but yet I remember you, ahh yes you were that padiwan of Master Gull. You have turned to the darkside, yes I feel your hate, come with me and meet my Master, he is looking for some new powerful people to train.”
“Train? I don’t need no training, I have a Sith master, when I seceded him, I killed him.” Replied Kin.
“Join us and together we can rule the galaxy!!!” Stated Darth Vader.
Then it came to Kin, “Rule the Galaxy”. More power Kin thought to himself. I can join and then I will build my forces up within and then kill his master and take over.
“Yes take me to your master, Lord Vader!”
Kin joined with the emperor, he has since risen as one of the most feared figures in the galaxy, next to the Emperor. Kin has destroyed Armies and conquered vast planets. And so continues his rule of power and thirst for it. But, every now and then, there is one memory that comes back to hunt him. This one face, of this smiling girl, from back in the Jedi Temple. They had a close relationship while he was there. They did everything together, and he never got to say goodbye, when he left. The one true person he misses will always be that one face of Xaira. But then he remembers that they are all dead now. That the Jedi temple was wiped clean out.
