I got it to work from home last night, I was able to create a new char but when it was time to log onto the galaxy, it was too late so I crashed. tried again this morning but couldn't get on, said that the galaxy was locked... guess someone locked it and the key is inside.
I might try again tonight

i tried deleting the character and making a new one, course it thinks the name is still in use, so i have to use a new name, and the same thing happens with that one

That is a weird ass bug, wonder if its only with the trial version or something. Did you install with your install disks neek? No, it's the trial. I wanted to use my disks at first by my sets (yeah, i have 2 of them) are from way back, before JTL so I would probably have to sit and look at it install for 20 minutes, then patch for 3 hours so I figured might as well download the 650 meg trial version. But if it doesn't work, i'll use my CDs. I'm spending the evening at Mom's tonight but if I don't come back too late, i'll get started on it. Don't think i'll reactivate quite yet, unless it's to make sure my account doesn't get deleted. I miss the people but I'm still not happy about the whole thing about releasing expansions packs, selling them for 30$ and the day after, announcing a game breaking change. I'm sure i'll reactivate for a month at some point but there's no way I can handle 2 games like that at once

They aren't married and gairlan played SWG back before CU on a different server. I was told that they are. My sources must suck.

So I got it to work, got to CL5 for the one and only purpose of flying to Eisley then shuttling to FO and see the towm I miss, but seems that you can't get off that platform on the trial account.
The combat system looks exactly the same as when I left. The skills probably changed though but those I couldn't test (only so much you can do at CL5. I don't know if combat on that station is the same as in the rest of the galaxy except from what I saw, nothing changed.
So, I guess I'll wait a little longer before giving them some money again. I don't really like that click-madness system where selecting moves on the keyboard doesn't do them, it just assigns them to a mouse button. Don't know if that'll change though.

That's not how it works anymore Neek, not even on the station. When you click a move on the toolbar, it uses the move if your cursor is over the target. There is a "set intended target" toggle now, and by default, pressing "y" toggles an auto-aim feature. There is also a toggle auto attack now. So say I want to saber throw a nuna. "Force throw" is on the number 1 on my toolbar. What I do is hover my cursor over the nuna, press "r" (where I bound "set intended target"), then press "t" (where I bound toggle auto-attack), and then press 1 to throw my saber. What this will do is put a green box over the nuna signifying that it is my main target, the one my moves will hit, and then throws my saber at them. It's just like selecting a target prenge and using moves, only different. If my cursor is not a cross, but a circle with a dot in the middle, it means I have auto-aim toggled. I use this almost 100% of the time now, and just select each target I want to hit. When that is toggled, I don't even need the nuna on my screen to hit it. Saber throw is auto-aimed at it, like prenge, and auto-attack is just that. Auto. Now say the nuna somehow survives my saber throw, it's a super nuna. Now I just walk into range and my character automatically starts auto-attacking the nuna, because I toggled auto attack after I targetted the nuna. You have to retoggle auto-attack with each new target, or after each time combat ends with that target (you cloak or use mind trick). In combat I will have auto-aim toggled all the the time (circle with dot in middle), and I press r or tab to select each new target. (tab to cycle through enemies on screen, r to use "set intended target" and select the one my cursor is over) So if I am in a pvp battle and kill one target and then switch to another it goes "press r, press t, use specials, tab or press r on new target, press t, use specials." It's just like prenge except that now instead of selecting a single move to be our auto-attack by ctrl-clicking on the toolbar, we do so by pressing the button of our choice to toggle a true autoattack. It may seem more complicated than it has to be, and maybe it is, but it is really no different than WoW except for auto-attack isn't automatically enabled when you use a special, and you select a target by either tabbing or pressing a button, not using your mouse. But you can bind "set intended target" to your mouse if you want. It may be confusing at first because it's not really a built in system, but a system you customize yourself via keybindings. The main reason for confusion with it among the current players is knowing when auto-attack is toggled on or off. The only way to tell is if you are attacking while not pressing any specials. You can also look at the damage numbers. I have a few ways to tell if it is on now, and it's no different than WoW in that respect. In wow you have an autoattack button that blinks red when you are autoattacking, but I don't have that on my toolbars anywhere because of room. Autoattack is bound to "t" automatically in WoW, and that is what I use to turn it on or off, if a special is not readily available for me to use. I think right click also does the same thing as t in WoW. So the differences are slim. SWG just has the option to play like a psuedo-fps if you desire, and toggle auto-aim off. WoW's never goes off. All those options I talked about can be found in options>keymap>target, and you should be able to get a nack for it after doing that, if you want to. I hope that helps and doesn't confuse you more. I noticed it is really long. I just woke up from a nap so I'll blame it on that.

What i did with my controls is have "MouseButton2" be "Set Intended Target" "MouseButton1" is Attack and Action "U" is Target Lock "C" is Auto Attack and i checked the mark that says actions can be fired from toolbar.
so now all i have to do is... right click the guy, hit C, and then click on my toolbar to use my moves like pre nge
