“So tell me again it is we’re going, Dark.” Demanded Xaira.
“Were you even paying attention, I said we’re going to Dantooine to check out this temple, except for me, that is. I’ve already checked it out once before.” Darkmatter laughed as the team walked towards the hangar.
“I’m preoccupied.” Replied Xaira.
Kindreth interrupted “I’ll say, you haven’t been yourself all morning. Are you sure you’re feeling ok?”
“I’m fine!” Xaira snapped, “Just a stupid nightmare.”
Master Troy looked uneasy the moment Xaira said “nightmare” and knowing the red Twi’lek, he’d more than likely speak his mind on the matter.
“Nightmares may not be what they seem, Master Lightstar. Have you spoken of this to Master Vikrant?” Phenix asked.
“No, I didn’t feel the need. Besides, I felt much better about it after talking with a…umm…” Xaira hesitated.
“A what?” asked Neek.
“An old friend.” Xaira responded with an annoyed tone.
Ank’hara chimed in, “Well, I guess having Kindreth around to talk to can release the stress a bit, especially since he’s pretty much around all the time.”
“What is that supposed to mean?” Kindreth growled angrily. “And for your information, Xaira made no mention to me about speaking with an ‘old friend.’”
“Can we drop this please, I’m getting a headache.” Xaira asked calmly. “We have task to perform, and I don’t feel this is the appropriate time to discuss my thoughts and fears.”
The team arrived to the hangar where the RSF houses its starships. Fighters of all models and sizes were parked meticulously within its massive walls. The structure was easily the largest building in Fort Ootinni. It’s been said that the Hangar was so impressive, that if Jabba were still alive, he would have attempted to acquire it for his own use. Pod-racing was the most likely reason why Jabba would want another hangar.
Kindreth looked at Xaira. “Yours or mine?” he asked.
“Mine of course,” Xaira giggled, “you still haven’t fixed your reactor leak from our last outing in that bucket of bolts.”
“I’ve told you several times, she can still fly.” Stated Kindreth in defense of his Nova.
“Radiation poisoning, hmmm, I don’t think the force can save you from that one.” Xaira laughed as she approached her YT-2400 Corellian Class Starship, the Crimson Dawn II.
The team waited as the entry ladder lowered with a loud hydraulic hiss. The Crimson Dawn II was Xairas second ship, but by far her favorite. Her first ship, the Crimson Dawn I, had suffered massive damage in the Dathomir system when she and Kindreth came across some Black Sun Pirates smuggling spice. The end result consisted of scuttling the ship and a rescue team that was barely able to get them out of the Nightsister Stronghold in which their escape pod landed.
They all piled into the cockpit, Xaira took the pilots seat, Kindreth manned the co-pilot, Ank’hara utilized her skills as a Navigator, and the rest made themselves comfortable in the rear of the deck.
“Ready to go.” Xaira claimed.
“Engine power at maximum.” Kindreth replied.
“Off we go then.” Xaira smirked.
The Crimson Dawn lifted off the ground, blasted out of the hangar, and angled upwards towards the atmosphere. The force of the takeoff planted the three passenger Jedi into their seats holding on for dear life.
“Was that really necessary?” asked Neek.
“Absolutely!” Xaira laughed. “Why? Did I scare you.”
“N..no…not at all.” Neek stammered. “Just wasn’t expecting you to floor it.”
Phenix and Darkmatter laughed as Neek regained his compusure. The Dawn was starting to enter space and Kindreth began setting coordinates for Dantooine.
“Coordinates set.” Barked Kindreth. Xaira glanced over at him with an expecting look.
“Oh yeah! Right…Captain” Kindreth said trying not to laugh.
“Jumping to Lightspeed in 3………..2………..1…….”
The surroundings in all the cockpit windows faded out and in a blast of blue light, the Crimson Dawn darted into the cold depths of outer space.

Hmmmm. I feel I need to tell you something I just did while reading your story. I clicked on the link for page 3, yet I found page one. Funny part is, I thought I was reading page three, but I was really reading page one. I was so confused because:
1) Vikrant responded and that isn't usual nowadays 2) The story made no sense from where I last read it.
Needless to say you may bonk me with your lightsaber....hrm... /sigh
after 10 minutes I found out what happened.
I feel sheepish.

What doesn't make sense? And besides, since Vik was the Guild leader of RSF (at least when I was in it) he responded quite a bit back in the day. This story is not based upon the current game environment. Just read and enjoy, I will try to fix stuff that doen't make sense.
In the meantime..../slap Dark. Shut up and color.

I know, lol. Regardless, if something doesn't make sense, I will explain or fix it. He said I could bonk him with my lightsaber, but that's no fun. I prefer a good strong backhand. =)
I <3 U Dark!!!
